GXP - God X-perience......... WOW!... W-O-N wonderful, amazing, beautiful and fantastic I mean awesome.... ok... this camp is WOW I don't have any words to say how wonderful it was, but... i will try... I believe this camp was made by GOD so that youth can find and get to know God...
Last week one guy named Antony came to Lithuania. He is an expert in GXP. I mean he is really good in that... wow... so we started preparing for GXP... we leaders had meetings...and we got to know each other...of course we were busy because we already have many things to do in YWAM and GXP so we were pretty busy... but still happy about having this camp...
After prep week we were not totally ready for GXP. On Friday we met at 14:00 at the YWAM centre. There were only few of us but still we were very excited about going to Kretinga close to Klaipeda (our town) and doing GXP :-) Our trip wasn't long maybe half of hour but still we had a fun time in the van, joking and chatting and getting to know each other ...because from now we are one team in GXP.
Finally, we were there realizing that now we will have many things to do. Some started telling stories from last GXP how fun it was and ....then we started to decorate and clean room because the time almost went out… then Randy brought the rest of the people from our team. Finally, when all leader team was here we were really happy to see that everyone was there and everything is almost prepared... but... oops... we forget toilet paper..........mmmmmmmm... what to do..ok... lets go and get some... so everything went well......
Oh my goodness... youth started to gather and we started seeing how they are coming with bags and sleeping bags and lots of things around them... We met them near the door where there was a registration desk, so we had opportunity to get to know them a bit and to see their embarrassed faces but we with smile in our faces showed them their sleeping places...
After everyone came to this camp we gathered in our GXP hall. We had welcoming and icebreakers and youth started to be excited doing lots of crazy stuff. We were splitting in a groups and doing different presentation of our groups! We were searching what was similar between us and what is different.... and then after the funny part we had a TALK which Donata was doing about faces of God... it was a really good talk... and I was really happy to see how the young people were very interested in that how they accepted that and I think God started to act from the beginning of this camp... after the talk we had small group and after groups we had a presentation of how God looks for us... wow... it was interesting to see how youth came on the stage first time and did the most creative things...Wow it was such a big blessing for me......... After that we had another talk about our loving creator, small groups, worship little on..., walk... break and bed... Wow first day already done...
The next morning leaders woke up earlier and had a prayer meeting. Then started one more beautiful day with God and the youth. We had lots of talks and worship, lots of funny times and time to get know each other, Mass with Father Vilius and talent show...
Wow and how God was with us and with those young kids hearts it was wonderful to see how kids were giving their hearts for God, how they were writing letters for God and praying and it was so awesome to feel Gods presence with us everywhere.. He is a wonderful God, He teaches us so many things... and I learned so many things from seeing those kids searching for God and experiencing new feeling! I think I felt the same that I felt when I asked God to come and be center of my life... God was everywhere even in the talent show he was having fun with us.. I really think God had a big smile on His face because I felt everywhere was God! Kristute and Evelina did a great job of being MCs for the talent show and everyone did so many creative things... WOW... it was wonderful to see how they used Gods gifts... the end of second day...
The next morning we all were a bit tired but... happy! Then we had talks worship and other stuff. By the way there was prayer station and all the youth were praying wow.... what I say, mmmmmm? GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!! CAMP was touched by HIS powerful hand! Thank you GOD!
And then goodbyes, certificates and leaving… The youth were very thankful for us and especially for God. It was nice to see how they were leaving full of optimism and understanding about God and searching for him more and more. It was nice to see them with the big smiles because they get to know about our wonderful FATHER... and I pray that God will continue to work in them and in their lives! May God bless every one of them! And, it was wonderful to see how kids made connection with each other and how they became friends!
I am really thankful to God that He made it possible that we can come closer to him and praise him for everything that he has done! Our GOD is an awesome one! HE MADE SO MANY MIRACLES! THANK YOU GOD FOR YOUR GOODNESS AND FOR YOUR LOVING HEART!
